Bowling

Bowling is a target sport where players roll a heavy ball down a lane to knock over a set of pins. The most popular version is tenpin bowling, where ten pins are arranged in a triangle at the end of the lane. A strike is when all pins are knocked down on the first ball, and a spare is when all pins are knocked down using both balls in a frame.

How to play
Goal: Roll a bowling ball down a lane to knock over as many pins as possible.
Scoring: Each frame consists of one or two rolls. A strike occurs when all 10 pins are knocked down with the first ball. A spare is when all 10 pins are knocked down using both balls in a frame.
Equipment: Players use a bowling ball, which comes in various weights and sizes, and wear special shoes with smooth soles to ensure a smooth approach.
Playing surface: Bowling lanes are oiled to reduce friction and ensure a smooth path for the ball.
Assistance: For those who need it, equipment like raised side rails and ball-lifting devices are available to help.
