Together We Stand

On Saturday 27th April 2013, there was a concert held at the Chrysalis Theatre in Camphill Milton Keynes called 'Together We Stand'. People sung various songs. It's aim was to raise money for somebody called Henry who is three years old from Milton Keynes and is currently battling Neuroblastoma which is a childhood cancer. With Neuroblastoma there is an 80% relapse rate. Henry needs money to travel to America or Germany to get the treatment if this were to happen. Please show your support and share Henry's story. Farewell to Elaine Bradley who has worked for Camphill Milton Keynes since 2009 as Chief Executive Officer. She is now joining a new company which provides support and care to older people.

Easter Breakfast

On Sunday 31^st May 2013 residents and co-workers had an Easter Breakfast in the Chrysalis Theatre in Camphill Milton Keynes. Hanne Drexel did some bell ringing with some residents before we started and at the end of the meal we did some singing. For the breakfast, we had some hard boiled eggs which had been nicely painted for the Easter celebrations. We also had nice cheeses and different kinds of bread produced by the Bakery.

Desert Island Movies

The Chrysalis Theatre in Camphill Milton Keynes held the launch night of Desert Island Movie Night on Thursday 28th March 2013. A different special guest will be invited each night to chat to the audience about their top 5 movies that they would take with them if they were stranded on a desert island. The guest also decided which one of the movies will be shown.
For this night the special guest was Jennifer Sheridan, current winner of the Virgin Movie Short award. She explained that she had made a short movie called ‘Rocket’ which stared her pet dog. Her short movie was shown in the Chrysalis Theatre and the longer movie she chose was called 'Beetlejuice‘.
