Blithe Spirit

This famous farce was performed by The Third Age Players (Part of the MK University of the Third Age) in the Chrysalis Theatre at Camphill Milton Keynes from Thursday 24th May to Saturday 26th May.
The Third-age Players are active retired people.
The plot - Writer Charles Condome has conducted research for his latest novel about the occult and has asked his wife, Ruth to arrange a dinner party including two other guests, and a medium who then held a seance.
The actors who took part in this production were Barbara Hughes as Edith (a maid), Jocelyn Lord as Ruth, Walter Greaves as Charles, John Greenall as Doctor Bradman, Ann Tynan as Mrs. Bradman, Brenda Richardson as Madame Arcati, and Christina Lay as Elvira. It was directed by Kathy Wilson and was written by Noel Coward.

Ascension Day

Ascension Day is observed in the United Kingdom on the 40th day after Easter. It commemorates Jesus Christ's ascension into heaven, according to the New Testament of the Bible.
In Camphill Milton Keynes residents and co-worker celebrated Ascension Day on Thursday 17th May 2012. We decided to make kites in the foyer of the Chrysalis Theatre. We flew them in Campbell Park which is near us.

See How They Run

Set in the idyllic village of Merton-cum-Middlewick, where the village inhabitants are preparing themselves for the imminent threat of Nazi invasion. Resident nosey-parker and spinster, Miss Skillon, becomes convinced that her beloved vicar's actress wife is having an affair and attempts to expose her.
See How They Run is written by Philip King and is being performed by Longueville Little Theatre Company from 16th to the 19th May at the Chrysalis Theatre in Camphill Milton Keynes.

I live in Blackthorn

What workshops do you do? (which one do you like most)?
I go to the basket workshop. I like Food Processing the most.

What activities do you do (like evening class or painting)?
I go to music and drama.

What responsibilities do you have in your house?
I do cooking and cleaning.

What do you do at the weekends?
I like going out to the local centre, and out walking. I sometimes go to the city centre with Judy.

Would you like to share anything else with this blog?
I like being friends with Chloe and also have friends in Wolverton.
On Saturday 28th April I had a birthday party in Blackthorn.

Camphill Milton Keynes Shop

The woodwork room where Rex Young used to do wood work is now being converted in to a shop for residents and co-workers. We will sell what we make in food processing, the bakery, baskets, dairy products, some Weleder beauty products and some things from the garden. The new shop will be officially opened on the 7th July which is the same day as the Summer Fair at Camphill Milton Keynes.

The Vicar of Dibley

Residents and co-workers at Camphill Milton Keynes were allowed to watch the dress rehearsal for The Vicar of Dibley on Monday 30th April 2012 at The Chrysalis Theatre. It is being performed from Tuesday 1st March until Saturday 5th March. This is a two-act play with all the characters from the hugely popular television series. People seeing the performance will relive the arrival of the new female vicar, Geraldine Granger, and meet the many insane inhabitants of the quiet village of Dibley.
This play is being performed by Milton Keynes Theatre of Comedy and was adapted from the original TV series by Richard Curtis and Paul Mayhew-Archer.
