Disappearing Acts

On Saturday 9th July, there was a performance called ‘Disappearing Acts’ at the Chrysalis Theatre in Camphill Milton Keynes.
Disappearing Acts was an immersive performance from choreographer Yael Flexer and digital artist Nic Sandiland. This performance operated on the threshold of visibility. It offered subtle readings of the body, movement that disappeared into the shadows or slipped through unseen gaps in the curtains leaving lingering traces on the retina. Evocative images, stories and wry humour gave voice to our experiences of disappearance, night-time and politically ‘dark times’.

Land Day

On Friday 24th June, Camphill Milton Keynes had a Land Day. The first hour of the morning was to spend time in and around the houses and garden cleaning and tidying, Anything that needed to go to the tip was piled up outside the Café.
Then there was a community tea break in the foyer of the Chrysalis Theatre.
People then got into working groups with nominated task coordinators to help do a variety of activities like weeding, path cleaning, the bonfire, cleaning the storage sheds, pruning trees and strawberry picking and preparation.
I thought that Land Day was a fun way to clean up our community.
