Taking down the Christmas Tree

Here are some photos of people taking down the Christmas Tree in the crypt next to the Chrysalis theatre in Camphill Milton Keynes. We did this on Sunday 5th January. We sung some carols, had a look at Christmas cards sent to the community and then blew out all the candles on the tree and also took off all the decorations. Then we took the Christmas tree out of the crypt.

Advent Fayre at Camphill Milton Keynes

On Saturday 14th December 2013, there was an Advent Fayre held at Camphill Milton Keynes.  A lot of it was held in the Chrysalis Theatre. There was a Christmas Market. Also there were arts and craft stalls, seasonal food for sale, live music and entertainment, games and a raffle and guests from other charities. There was a festive atmosphere. In the Cafe, there was an art exhibition with paintings and Christmas cards produced by local artists from Milton Keynes.
There were also some events happening on the stage and these included:

Joan Harris playing Christmas carols on the piano, Violin and guitar with Fiona and Filla (volunteers in Camphill MK, Autoharp with Chris and Chris Younger, Christmas Carol song (‘Stars Group’ Camphill Resident Theatre Group), Polish Christmas Carols (Visitors from ‘Safety pin’ – a partner organization in Poland), festive music and songs (volunteers from Camphill MK) and a string quartet (Jane Solloway).

I thought that it was a nice event for the Day.
