The gym

On Thursday mornings I go to the gym at a place called Lovat Fields Village which is next to Camphill Milton Keynes. Lovat Fields Village is a retirement village run by The ExtraCare Charitable Trust. The gym is run by a fitness instructor called Mark.
I use the treadmill, exercise bike and the weights. The fitness instructor is called Mark.

Prices for the gym are:

5. Monthly - £15
6. Pay as you go - £3

Non residents

Halloween

These are some photographs of people having a Halloween party in Whitethorn House in Camphill Milton Keynes on Friday 31st October.
Evolving from the ancient Celtic holiday of Samhain, modern Halloween has become less about literal ghosts and ghouls and more about costumes and candy. The Celts used the day to mark the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter, and also believed that this transition between the seasons was a bridge to the world of the dead.  Over the millennia the holiday transitioned from a somber pagan ritual to a day of merriment, costumes, parades and sweet treats for children and adults.

SING FOR JOY

Sing for Joy meets the last Thursday of most months from 7:30-9:30PM  in the crypt or the Chrysalis Theatre of Camphill Milton Keynes and is an opportunity to come sing old and new songs - not as a choir but just for the enjoyment of informal singing with others. People can bring accompanying instruments and teach a song if they like.
