Imperial Age

Imperial Age is a Russian symphonic power metal band, currently based
in Northampton, England. The band was originally founded in 2012 in Moscow, Russia by singers/composers Alexander "Aor" Osipov and Jane "Corn" Odintsova, who relocated to Turkey, and later the United Kingdom, following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The band consists mostly of British members, and their songs are primarily in English.
In January 2023 Jane and Alexander were endorsed by Arts Council England as Exceptional Talents and applied for UK residency while living in Turkey, where they moved to as soon as the war began. A crowdfunding campaign set up to aid their relocation has gathered £21,419 in pledges from fans. Their residency was granted by the Home Office and they moved to London on 17 April 2023.

Art at Milton Keynes Train Station

A vibrant Nigerian-style artwork has been unveiled outside a city's main railway station, with the aim of welcoming passengers.
Walk With Your Dreams, designed by British Nigerian artist Yinka Ilori, has been integrated into Station Square in Milton Keynes.
It also helps direct pedestrians towards two underpasses that lead from the station to the nearby city centre.
Milton Keynes councillor Shanika Mahendran said: "This is much more than a stunning piece of art, it's a real celebration of our city's creativity and diversity."

Halloween Bake-Off

We are super proud of all the houses that took part in the Halloween Bake Off—another brilliant time had by all the houses that entered.
1st place went to Kirklington with the brain.
2nd was MP with the eyes on the ring. It got very spooky when an eye rolled off and along the table!
3rd was Whitethorn with their spooky, colourful cupcakes.

Canal Museum

The Canal Museum, formerly known as the National Waterways Museum at Stoke Bruerne and The Canal Museum at Stoke Bruerne, is a canal museum located next to the Grand Union Canal just south of the Bilsworth Tunnel, near the village of Stoke Bruerne in Northhamptonshire. It is about 10 miles (16 km) north of Milton Keynes and 7 miles (11 km) south of Northampton near junction 15 of the M1 motorway.
The museum was established in 1963, as "The Canal Museum". It was founded by two canal workers and enthusiasts, Charles N. Hadlow, the first curator, and Jack James, its first caretaker, whose personal collections formed the main part of its initial exhibits.
It was subsequently known as the "National Waterways Museum Stoke Bruerne", one of three museums operated by The Waterways Trust that focused on the history of canals in Britain. After the creation of the Canal & River Trust in 2010, the Stoke Bruerne museum was rebranded to its original name.
