50th Anniversary of Camphill Delrow

On Wednesday 3rd July, a group of residents and co-workers from Camphill Milton Keynes went to visit Camphill Delrow Community in Watford, Hertfordshire to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of Camphill Delrow. Delrow Comminity helps those with mental health problems, learning disabilities and other special needs to lead an independent life. When the group arrived at Delrow, we saw some people planting a Cherry tree. After the Cherry tree had been planted we had ice creams. When we finished ice creams we went to the hall in Delrow where a group of people living in the community at Delrow performed a play called ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ by William Shakespeare. This play portrays the events surrounding the marriage of the Duke of Athens, Theseus, and Hippolyta. These include the adventures of four young Athenian lovers and a group of six amateur actors, who are controlled and manipulated by the fairies who inhabit the forest in which most of the play is set. I found this event interesting and liked visiting Camphill Delrow.
