What Men Live By

Michaelmas , September 29th, has for centuries been celebrated by various cultures at the time of moving into shorter days and longer nights.  Metaphorically, it is a time to recognise we each have our own inner ‘demons’ of fear, anger, insecurity, jealousy, greed, etc. which we are challenged to face daily.
‘What Men Live By’ is a short story written by Russian author Leo Tolstoy in 1885.
This play was chosen as theme to celebrate the Divine in the Human Spirit which helps us face these challenges. Purposely the cast has been drawn from individuals across the Community – residents, senior co-workers, managers and a Trustee of CMKC – as we work on strengthening our Camphil Community.
