Chasing Ice

The Chrysalis Theatre was pleased to welcome back the Co-Operative group, Friends of The Earth MK and Transition MK (after the screening of the film More than Honey directed by Markus Imhoof ) on Sunday 26th January as they put on a screening of the much acclaimed film Chasing Ice, together with a talk on climate change.
Chasing Ice is the story of one man's mission (James Balog) to change the tide of history by gathering undeniable evidence of climate change. Using time-lapse cameras, his videos compress years into seconds and capture ancient mountains of ice in motion as they disappear at a breathtaking rate.
The guest speaker was Martin Hodson who is a plant scientist and environmental biologist, is a Visiting Researcher at Oxford Brookes University and is Operations Manager for the John Ray Initiative.
