Palm Sunday Walk

These are some photographs of residents and co-workers in Camphill Milton Keynes going on a walk around the community grounds on Palm Sunday and then having a nice break. Palm Sunday is a Christian movable feast that falls on the Sunday before Easter. The feast commemorates Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, an event mentioned in each of the four canonical Gospels.

Reading between the lines

On Friday 7th April, Tread the Board theatre company performed a play called ‘Reading between the lines’ at the Chrysalis Theatre in Camphill Milton Keynes.
This is what it was about:
Professor Andrew Stokes, returns from a foreign study visit in time to help his wife Rachel organise the village literary festival, based at Saint Fabian’s church hall.  Star attraction is to be famous romantic novelist, Lydia Bray. The arrival of Andrew’s oldest friend, a professional gambler, lothario and all-round liability, sets the scene for a day of embarrassment and confusion.
Tread the Boards was founded in Newport Pagnell, in 1986. It is now a Registered Charity, but started out as a group associated with the local Adult Education Centre, and based in Ousedale School’s Drama Studio in Newport Pagnell.

Trip to Ireland

From Friday 24th to Sunday 26th March, a group of residents and co-workers from Camphill Milton Keynes visited Kilkenny in Ireland for an annual general meeting for the Association of Camphill Communities. We had a long minibus journey and then a trip on a ferry to get there. We stayed in a bed and breakfast. This was an inclusive weekend festival to celebrate creativity and the arts. There were performances, music, workshops, talks and discussions.
