The Third Age Players present ‘WHEN THE LIGHTS GO ON AGAIN’
From Thursday 7th until Saturday 9th
September, The Third Age Players presented ‘WHEN THE LIGHTS GO ON AGAIN’ at the
Chrysalis Theatre in Camphill Milton Keynes.
This is what happened:
An ill-assorted group of retired residents are gathered in a shabby dining room of a seedy 1940s hotel for retired gentlefolk. Their usual routine is disrupted by a mysterious event causing tongues to wag and secrets to spill out, with certain relationships being uncovered, bringing forth unfavourable and dire results.
The Third Age Players (TAP) is the amateur drama group of Milton Keynes U3A.

On Thursday 31st August, residents and staff of Camphill Milton Keynes had a charity sale to raise money for WaterAid outside the Café in Camphill Milton Keynes. We collected lots of things to sell that people did not want any longer.
WaterAid is a charity that focuses on the three essentials that transform people’s lives: clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene.
In all, this sale raised £68.38.

11th Death Anniversary Ceremony for Reverend Handa Shonin Sama
On Sunday 20th August, there was the 11th Death Anniversary Ceremony for Reverend Handa Shonin Sama who was a Buddhist monk at the Temple on Willen Lake North in Milton Keynes.
Revd. Handa had an unceasing wish that all of the children of the world would grow up in a world that is free from the threats of war and of nuclear contamination.
More than this, however, he knew that a truly peaceful world can only come about if the hearts of people can be changed, so that respect replaces self-interest and compassion replaces anger.
Until the day when his vision is realised, the Temple vows to continue Revd. Handa's work.
