On Sunday 20th August, there was the 11th Death Anniversary Ceremony for Reverend Handa Shonin Sama who was a Buddhist monk at the Temple on Willen Lake North in Milton Keynes.
Revd. Handa had an unceasing wish that all of the children of the world would grow up in a world that is free from the threats of war and of nuclear contamination.
More than this, however, he knew that a truly peaceful world can only come about if the hearts of people can be changed, so that respect replaces self-interest and compassion replaces anger.
Until the day when his vision is realised, the Temple vows to continue Revd. Handa's work.
