Michaelmas

Michaelmas is a day in the Western Christian calendar which occurs on 29th September and during a gathering which took place in the crypt in Camphill Milton Keynes on Sunday 2nd September, Joan Harris explained what happens.
The Archangel Michael is the greatest of all the Archangels and is honoured for defeating Lucifer in the war in heaven. He is one of the principal angelic warriors, seen as a protector against the dark of night.

Holiday to Camphill Botton Village

Camphill Botton Village is home to around 280 people including 130 with special needs. The village and its five farms nestle in Danby Dale in the beautiful North York Moors National Park. It’s not far to the towns of Teesside in one direction and Whitby, Scarborough and the Yorkshire coast in the other.
From 24th July to 4th August a group of residents and co-workers went on holiday to Camphill Botton Village. We stayed in some accommodation called the Tree Houses which is used by Eurythmy students and rented out to other people in the summer.
We bought all our food in the general store at Botton and regularly went to the cafe there.
We also went to the beach in Scarborough. The people who went were Andrew and Linda, Mark, Joe, Fiona, Peter and me.

Planting a meadow

Here are some photos of us planting some wild flower seeds from boxes onto some ground cleared of weeds near the crypt at Camphill Milton Keynes. Unfortunately the wild flower seeds never grew so somebody planted some herbs instead. The idea of creating this small meadow was to attract more things like bees and butterflies to the gardens in Camphill Milton Keynes.

Where the wild flower seed were going to be planted.

Throwing the seeds onto the soil.
A handful of seeds.
Treading the seeds into the soil.
One of the herbs (lavender) that was planted.
