Opening of the Christmas Grotto

On Sunday 1st December, Dominic who lives in Sunwood House in Camphill Milton Keynes, opened his Christmas Grotto.

There are some Christmas trees that have been decorated, and a small scene of the Virgin Mary, in the stable.

After the ribbon was cut on Sunwood's doors the Christmas lights were turned on and we could have some nice refreshments in the dining room of Sunwood.

Advent Spiral

On Sunday 1st December, there was an Advent Spiral held in the Crypt which is next to the Chrysalis Theatre in Camphill Milton Keynes.

In the middle of the Crypt, there was a large candle and all the residents and co-workers who attended had their own small candle.

There was some Christmas singing and some poetry read. Then the big candle in the middle of the room was lit.

All the people who had turned up, made a spiral around the candle in the middle of the crypt, and with the person closest to the large candle, lit their small candle and then lit the candle of the person next to them in the spiral.

Advent Sunday is the fourth Sunday before Christmas, marking the beginning of the Advent season, which ends on Christmas Day.
