My sisters wedding

These are some photographs of my sister Rosie who got married to Ashli on Friday 17th June at Ravenwood Hall in Bury St. Edmunds.

wedding is a cermony where two people are united in marriage. Wedding traditions and customs vary greatly between cultures, ethnic groups, religions, countries, and social classes. Most wedding ceremonies involve an exchange of marriage vows by a couple, presentation of a gift (offering, rings, symbolic item, flowers, money, dress), and a public proclamation of marriage by an authority figure or celebrant. Special wedding garments are often worn and the ceremony is sometimes followed by a wedding receptionMusic, poetry, prayers, or readings from religious texts or literature are also commonly incorporated into the ceremony, as well as superstitious customs.

Willen Community Litter Picking

On Saturday 21st May, Great Linford Parish Council held a Community Litter Pick. Volunteers met at the Camphill Community on Japonica Lane, Willen Park in Milton Keynes.

The event was open to all, and it was great to see so many families and members of the Camphill Community. The volunteers scoured Willen and Downhead Park for rubbish and collected 480kg in total. As a reward for all our hard work, Great Linford Community Hub made a delicious lunch which was held at Camphill.

Camphill MK Jubilee Celebration

On Wednesday 1st June, residents and staff from Camphill Milton celebrated Queen Elizabeth II's 70 years on the Throne.
The set up was at 9am and the celebrations from 10am to 3.30pm.
There were games, sports, dancing and a bake off.
We had a shared lunch with tea and cakes and also a talent show in the Chrysalis Theatre. At the end of the celebrations there was a brass band.

In her Accession Day (6 February) message, the Queen said that she hoped the Platinum Jubilee would bring together families and friends, neighbours and communities. She said that the Jubilee "affords me a time to reflect on the goodwill shown to me by people of all nationalities, faiths and ages in this country and around the world over these years". She thanked everyone for their support, loyalty and affection, and signed the message "Your Servant". She said of her seventy year reign and the future:

As I look ahead with a sense of hope and optimism to the year of my Platinum Jubilee, I am reminded of how much we can be thankful for. These last seven decades have seen extraordinary progress socially, technologically and culturally that have benefitted us all; and I am confident that the future will offer similar opportunities to us and especially to the younger generations in the United Kingdom and throughout the Commonwealth.
