On Tuesday 24th
June, residents and co-workers in Camphill Milton Keynes celebrated St John’s
Day. The celebration of St John was
from ancient times a festival of the summer solstice.
For this
celebration, people got into groups according to the month of our birthday.
People from each month of the year did a dance around each other month in a
circle with a long candle, and then used the candle to help light a fire in the
middle of the circle.
Afterwards we
all had strawberries and cream in the foyer if the Chrysalis Theatre.
