On Friday 14th July there was Milton Keynes
Disability Awareness Day in Campbell Park in Milton Keynes. The event started at 11am with a welcome from
Councillor Martin Petchey the Deputy Mayor of Milton Keynes.
Then there was a demonstration from Camphill Fitness Group.
There were also speeches from Anna Turney the Paralympic
Skier who represented Great Britain in 2010 and 2014 Winter Paralympics, Peter
Kara the High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire, Maria Wogan the Chairwoman of Arts for
Health MK and also a speech from Debbie Brock DL Chair for The Milton Keynes
Cenotaph Trust and MKDAD.
At the end of this event people sung the MKDAD Anthem ‘I see
you, you see me not my disability’.
